Emergency First Response Lessons with Tennessee Divers

Why should I take Emergency First Response lessons?

The Emergency First Response lessons will give you the knowledge, skills, and tools you need to perform CPR and First Aid, or just perform CPR. In either case, you'll also learn how to use an Automated External Defibrillator (AED). Whether you're a diver or a non-diver, your Emergency First Response lessons with Tennessee Divers will prepare you to properly handle potentially life-threatening situations.

What do I need to start?

  • There is no dive certification required and no minimum age limit.

What will I do?

This comprehensive program is composed of two core modules that can be taught in tandem or as stand-alone courses: Emergency First Response - Primary Care and Emergency First Response - Secondary Care. Together, these courses provide extensive instruction in CPR and First Aid, as well as providing optional (yet recommended) Automated External Defibrillator (AED) and Emergency Oxygen sections.

What will I need?

  • When you sign up for your lessons, you'll receive either the EFR Participant Pack, which includes manual, binder and first aid pack, or the CPR/AED booklet if you are only taking the Primary Care part of the course. In either case, you'll also receive the Emergency First Response DVD

How long will it take?

  • Once you receive the Participant Pack and the DVD, read the manual and watch the DVD. That way, the Primary and Secondary courses may be completed in as little as four hours.

Where can I go from here?

When you complete the Primary and Secondary Care parts of the course, it satisfies your PADI Rescue Diver CPR prerequisite.

How much does it cost?

The complete EFR course costs $50.00. That price includes the Deluxe Participant Pack, and the Emergency First Response DVD. If you are only interested in the Primary Care part of the course, then that course will cost $35.00.
